If you’re looking for a cat whose greatest superpower is love, let us introduce you to Delilah!!!
Delilah is about a year old and has already spent much of her young life being an incredible mama. Before coming to rescue, she was surrendered to the Las Cruces shelter after supposedly biting a child… but here’s the important part of that story: she was fiercely protecting her tiny babies. Any mother would do everything she could to keep her kittens safe, and that’s exactly what Delilah was trying to do.
Now that her kittens are safe and she’s no longer in “protective mama mode,” we’ve discovered who Delilah truly is… and she is an absolute sweetheart.
She ADORES people… adults and kiddos alike! She is incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and is happiest soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She has a gorgeous medium-length tabby coat that’s just begging to be petted, and she won’t complain one bit if you spoil her with snuggles.
Delilah is also the ultimate foster mama. She absolutely loves kittens and has helped raise multiple litters, showing endless patience and affection to every little one she’s cared for.
As for other adult animals, Delilah has opinions. She currently seems to prefer being the queen of her castle when it comes to other adult cats, and she’ll happily let the dogs in her foster home know to give her some personal space. Because of that, we think she’d do best as an only pet… or in a home with respectful, cat-savvy dogs who are introduced slowly and understand that Delilah is in charge. She is currently being fostered with dogs and cats and she is doing fine with the cats, mostly when she’s given space. She doesn’t like them to approach her. But she has been forced to have a few cuddle sessions and they turned out okay if she is given the proper time with the right cat(s) she can probably live with other cats!
She has perfect litter box manners and isn’t picky about what type of litter or litter box is used.
After spending so much of her young life taking care of everyone else, it’s finally Delilah’s turn to be cared for. She deserves a family who will cherish her for the loving, devoted, cuddly girl she is.
Could you be the one to give this incredible mama the happily-ever-after she’s been waiting for?
