Cuddly super-smart puppy!
Leslie is a beautiful and wiggly little pup with sage- colored eyes and gorgeous reddish sepia-toned fur with subtle brindle stripes on her back.
Currently, Leslie is living with her littermate Sheldon and two male dogs a few years older than her, and they all love her. When she's too energetic for her brothers, she calms right down when corrected and has learned to respect space, but she is always a sparkly gal with lots of playful energy!
Dogs: Super cuddly and loving toward her 3 dog friends, she loves to run and wrestle. She'd love a house with dogs to play with, but she's excellent at making eye contact with her humans and sitting before she's told to. She learns fast and wants to be with her people!
Cats: She hasn’t met any cats yet, but she's young and friendly and will probably be fine. And if she gets too close, she's willing to take feedback 😉
Kids: Leslie is from a litter of 8 pups who were raised in a caring, sanctuary environment with a few wonderful kid volunteers who bathed and cuddled her and her siblings. She's sweet and trusting.
Crate: Leslie is great in crate so far! She is learning to walk into the crate to get a treat and she'll fall right asleep for a few hrs at least, especially after a walk around the yard. And she's very happy to sit in her crate with a chew toy, but she'd still rather be exploring the house 😄
Potty Training: She and her brother are being potty- trained, and she quickly identified the puppy pad as the place to go. She's great at going outside when she's on leash. Leslie sleeps through the night, with no overnight poops! Still learning that blankets aren't the same as puppy pads but she is SMART and is watching her foster brothers all the time and is learning cues.
Energy Level: She's a bouncy, fast, curious little pup! For now, she sleeps a lot but when she's awake, she's ready for fun 😊
Leslie is sooo cuddly and loving, and wants to follow directions and learn new things. She responds very well to treats; she knows 'come' and 'sit' and I see her being an excellent sidekick for her humans, with or without other dogs, but she would looove to have someone to play with. She's athletic and sparky, and very brave about exploring.
