Louie is an 8-week-old puppy whose life motto seems to be “Go, go, GO!” This adventurous little guy is always ready to explore, play, wrestle, zoom around the yard, or tag along for whatever fun comes next. He came to Pitties and Kitties Rescue after he and his 13 siblings were surrendered by their previous owner. Sadly, two of the puppies passed away before making it into rescue, leaving 13 little survivors who are now getting the chance they deserve. Louie is one of those lucky pups, and he’s ready to find an active family to call his own.

Dogs: Dog friendly! Louie is currently being fostered with an adult female dog and his brother, Blue. He absolutely loves playing, wrestling, and burning off puppy energy with Blue, but they will not be adopted together. They’re fostered together so they can continue learning important social skills from one another, but they’re each ready to find their own forever families. Louie would likely love having another playful canine companion, but it’s not required.

Cats: Cat friendly! Louie is being fostered with a cat and is learning respectful puppy manners. As with any young puppy, he’ll benefit from continued supervision and positive introductions as he grows.

Kids: Kid friendly! Louie is being fostered with children and loves having people to play with. Because he’s such a happy, energetic puppy, he’ll do best with a family that’s ready to help channel that enthusiasm through play, training, and enrichment. As always, interactions between young children and puppies should be supervised.

Like any young puppy, Louie is still learning everything about the world. He’s currently working on potty training and crate training and will need a family that understands puppies require time, patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. There will be accidents. There will probably be a few chewed-up toys (and maybe a shoe if you’re not paying attention). That’s all part of raising a happy, well-adjusted puppy!

Louie is full of personality and always ready for his next adventure, but once he’s gotten some of that puppy energy out, he transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug. His absolute favorite thing in the world? Belly rubs! Flip him over for some tummy scratches, and you’ll instantly become his favorite person.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving sidekick who’s always down for a hike, a walk, a game of fetch, or simply making every day a little more exciting, Louie is your guy. He’s ready to grow up surrounded by love, adventure, and plenty of belly rubs… and he can’t wait to meet his forever humans.
